Bush loses another one. Remember what we learned before, kids. When a person in power claims to be giving up power to spend more time with the family they lived perfectly well without up until five minutes ago, that's just spin.
And I don't care what anyone says. I watch Norad tracking Santa every year on Christmas Eve and I've done so since I was a mere infant.
On a more serious note, I can't remember whose blog alerted me to Daniel Ellsberg's site where you can read the first chapter of his Secrets: A Memoir of Vietnam and the Pentagon Papers, but I went, I read, and I'm impressed. I'll be buying the book.
Also depressed because while I've become reconciled to the idea that our current, and recent, Administrations lie to us when the truth would sound better, it's sad to realize that in the waning of the Golden Years of the 50s and early 60s, lying to the public was already a well-established government policy.
