Home Grown Terrorists: In other words, we've uncovered more weapons of mass destruction in Texas than in Iraq? How terribly ironic.

If there's one good thing this abortive 'war on terror' could do for us, it could force us to face this kind of discontent leading to violence in our own backyard. (Oklahoma City, anyone?)

It's an important subject, but one that somehow never seems to hit the national radar with enough force to stick there for a useful length of time. It frustrates me. Sometimes it seems like this country has collective ADD. A complete inability to focus on a problem for long enough to move toward a useful solution. We treat each occurrence of home-grown terrorism as an isolated incident and only those with the luxury of time to do some research are able to trace the connections.

I won't go on and on, but Morris Dees wrote an excellent book for anyone interested in the subject.
