Comments: Bush On Cable?

For what it's worth, our local NPR station carried the speech; if NPR stations consistently did the same elsewhere, that covers a lot of the population.

But I basically agree.

The networks were not asked to carry the speech, so they didn't. The corporate media isn't going to give up the ad revenue for public service unless asked, which enables them to take it off their taxes.

My NPR station said it was going to carry the speech, but I heard World Cafe instead of George Bush.

I don't watch television as I have "issues" with the local cable provider.
