That makes sense, for you. I came out as "Cultural Creative" which is what happens when you've no loyalty to any theory or school....

I'm a bit jealous. :) Having read the essay (and ordered the book) and understanding that "Cultural Creative" is the wave of the future, I'm feeling distinctly behind the curve.

There's a book?

I don't know. Syncretic movements have to land somewhere. I honestly think my "cultural Creative" result is the result of profound agnosticism -- utilitarian heterodoxy, perhaps? -- rather than movement towards something particularly new and different. I only came out below 50% on fundamentalist and materialist; I only came out above 50% on post-modernist and Cultural Creative, both of which are really pretty poor descriptions of me.

I'm not entirely sure I'm an Existentialist, but if I clear my mind of the negative connotations, the rest of it does sound like me.

There are two books, actually.

There's "The Cultural Creatives" but the one I was actually talking about was "The Rise of the Creative Class" . I read an essay by the author once and it sounded fascinating.
