Comments: Zach, Meet Eric

The problem with "But I'm A Cheerleader" is it doesn't make up its mind about whether it is a comedy or a non-fictional account of something that actually happened. I've a feeling the writer of the screenplay, in real life, went through something like one of those camps, but then the directors or producers thought the movie should be a comedy, and tried to make it so. It's not funny enough to be watched as a comedy though, and its not real enough to be enjoyed as non-fiction.

Bad movie, in the end, though relevant to Zach's story since it is the only movie I know that shows one of those re-education camps in any detail.
