Well, as I think I've said frequently, I refuse to partake of the "detainee" and "enemy combatant" fictions that the Bush Administration is using to pretend they haven't taken prisoners in their "war on terror."

Bottom line? You arrest someone, they should have rights.

The right not to be tortured. The right not to be locked up indefinitely and anonymously. The right to know the charges against them. The right to legal assistance in understanding their position.
