*snicker*
Can't tell you how much I wish I hadn't had the habit of having my friends list up in a background tab at work before I figured out that the head of IT really is reading all the email and being nosy on everybody's computer. *sigh* Like he doesn't have enough to do trying to, oh, set up the network so it actually works. Fucker.
But enough about me. *g* Looking forward to tomorrow. :)
Posted by Aithine at May 19, 2006 07:53 PMI don't think I've ever worked anywhere where they actually spied on workers, but I know I've left damaging stuff open on my computer more than once.
And once I was writing a story and forgot to password-protect the file. When the announced they'd done a tape backup of everyone's computer, I almost committed hari-kari!
I think they should be grateful we show up at all and not spy on what we're doing online. snif
Posted by Anne at May 19, 2006 09:27 PMThe bastard actually bragged about knowing ahead of time that the editor was leaving/quitting/being fired (whatever actually happened) because he'd read the emails.
*pauses to let that sink in*
Yes, that's the kind of environment I have to work in. Is it any wonder I'm nearly homicidal by the end of the day?
I'm a multi-tasker. I have to be able to do about thirty things at once in order to get any of them done. Especially when the actual work is boring as hell. *sigh*
