Well, you know there are things you don't agree on: if you start bringing those up during the hair session, maybe that will cool his ardor.... might not be good for your hair, though I'm not sure I see an exit strategy here that gets you out with hair and without date.

Your comment about retaliatory bad hair reminded me of the only time I've ever actually been nervous in a barber chair. It was in Japan, during my senior year of HS, and the barber did full-bore straight-razor shaves along with the haircuts. That didn't bother me (I hadn't seen Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street yet) until the day my haircut coincided with the fortieth anniverary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.

The barber didn't seem to care, though, or restrained himself, one way or the other.
