Are you going to be in this part of the world? I didn't realize this was a family visit you were planning.

Yes, this one is a family visit.

You can bet that if it had been during a part of the year when the weather is friendlier, I'd have suggested I drive down, meet the Famous Max, and buy you and your family lunch!

Think what a narrow escape you had....

Well, we're not going anywhere: we'll get you next time! If you're near KC, we'll take almost any excuse to come up, too, though we just did it last weekend (we saw two late 19c travel narratives done as plays: Life on the Mississippi and Around the World in 80 Days) and next weekend we've got Purim stuff....

Next time, though, give us a little warning, and we'll definitely work something out.
