Comments: Some Crazy For You

It's been fifty years since they had a full-bore apocalyptic meltdown, mostly because they've been in control of one or another branch of government for most of that time. The judiciary is all they've got left, and they've spent so much energy attacking judicial activism (and cloaking their own activism in double-talk like "originalism" and "strict constructionism") that they can't openly admit to the power they have. But they're not getting the other branches back until the tantrum is over.

Oh, thank you. That was the phrase I couldn't come up with - "strict constructionism" - no matter how much I racked my brain.

I say we don't give them any of the other branches back until they prove they understand that "conservative" is not equal to "wingnut lunatic" but that's just my opinion.
