Comments: Mutter, whine, complain

Thanks again for the good wishes, Anne! As I said on my blog, I've always been a bit of a joiner, but as I also mentioned I, like you, also tend to find this inter-blog stuff kinda incestuous and "I'm sure it wouldn't interest anybody outside of a small circle of friends"ish. Someone came out with a pretend map of the blogosphere, and all the countries and seas and such were in-jokes, most of which I didn't get, referring to names of blogs and bloggers and I'm going, "Geez, come on folks, we're NOT FAMOUS, we're just folks." Speaking of which, I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of the Dem candidates' blogs, which is why they're waaaay down on my sidebar. Although the UK ones I have listed are actually done by the MPs in question.

That's the main problem with "fandom" whether it's around comics or television shows or anything else - people start seeing themselves as Someone because they're a noticeable-sized frog in a (really) very small pond.

I do hope you're feeling better.
